Your Tasks

• You will play a key role in developing new features for our cutting-edge event-driven payment platform in an agile environment, working in cross-functional teams.
• Join us in taking our microservice architecture to the next level using the latest technologies, such as NestJS (TypeScript), Vue.js, Docker, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and other emerging tools and frameworks.
• Your expertise in developing unit and system tests will be crucial in ensuring the robustness, usability, and reliability of our codebase, including handling edge cases effectively.
• Explore and contribute to infrastructure topics as part of our DevOps practices, enabling you to have a well-rounded experience and making a significant impact on the entire development lifecycle.
• We value maintaining a clean codebase, and your commitment to writing clean and maintainable code will greatly contribute to the overall quality and sustainability of our platform.

Your Qualifications

• Good backend development skills: Proven experience (several years in practice) in writing distributed backend applications, preferably using Node.js and TypeScript, showcasing expertise in building robust and efficient solutions.
• Scalability and performance optimization: Demonstrated ability to design and implement high-performance and scalable systems, considering factors such as load balancing, caching, and database optimization.
• Interest or experience in machine learning: Having expertise or a genuine interest in machine learning is a desirable skill that can contribute to enhancing the platform's capabilities.
• Open-mindedness and willingness to innovate: A forward-thinking mindset that embraces new ideas and technologies, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of projects while leveraging the expert knowledge of the ryd team.
• Effective communication skills: good English communication skills are crucial for effective collaboration with the team, as well as for understanding and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Entrepreneurial Mindset: Embody an entrepreneurial mindset, marked by a proactive "get-things-done" attitude and a strong customer-centric focus. Strive for a results-oriented approach that combines hands-on pragmatism with a commitment to maintaining clean code and sound architecture.
• Strong Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Exhibit a keen aptitude for solving complex challenges through analytical thinking, demonstrating an ability to dissect problems and craft effective solutions.
• Bonus: Familiarity with payment processing: Prior experience or understanding of payment processing systems, security standards (e.g., PCI-DSS), and integration with payment gateways would be advantageous.
